Commentary on Week 3

This week I want to declare "Bizzare, Controversy, Screw Up Week"  because in the ASCBBL there was a controversial call which caused me to full on rant & Because I played scores became screwed up. Alas why there wern't period scores on the official result & Why 3-pointer bonus points wern't added, Furthermore in just 3 games of the Regular Season we got an own basket. Now on to the ASCDBL, This weeks game caused two 2 week suspensions for fighting & it turned into the NBA as 3 birds came into SN Stadium. (No, The game wasn't suspended to remove them.) Anyway, Congrats to the Challengers. Cya next week!

A Note Regarding the ASCDBL All-Star Game

Only the series game winner will earn points towards standings.

EXAMPLE: If the series of 7 games is won in Game 5 then only Game 5 will count towards standings.

Tiebreaking Criteria

Yes. I'm in Sydney. However I will provide a couple of points here.

First, In the event that teams are tied on Total Points total the following tiebreakers shall be applied.

• The team with the most amount of points (PTS) shall win the trophy.
• If the PTS score is the same then the team with the most amount of bonus points (BPTS) shall win the trophy
• If the teams are still tied after the first two tiebreakers then the team with the most Regulation/Overtime Wins (ROTW) shall win the trophy.
• If the teams are still tied after the first 3 tiebreakers then the team with the most shootout/sudden death wins (SOW) shall win the trophy
• If the teams are still tied after the 4 tiebreakers above, Then the trophy shall be declared shared.

Commentary on Week 2

As of now I will commentate on the week.

Week 2 was a wonderful week as the trophies arrived and were awarded on Friday but this week features more than that.

In the ASCDBL, Blue were leading 39-17 with only 14:24 to play. Red however in 5:51 scored 15 unanswered to bring the score to 39-32 with 9:43 to play. Though with 8:53 to play Blue scored again to bring the score to 41-32, Red were unhindered however as in 57 seconds (7:46 remaining) the score was bought down to 41-36. Though Blue wernt going to take prisoners as just 12 seconds later (7:34 remaining) Blue scored to make the score 43-36. Red answered in 1:15 (6:19 remaking) to make the score 43-38, Though by 5:20 Blue had scored twice to make the score 47-38. However by 3:34 Red had scored 2 3-pointers to make the score 47-44, Though 9 seconds later (3:25 remaining) Blue were leading 50-44. However in 25 seconds (3:00 remaining) Red tied it up 50-50, Red then ran the clock to 0:46 before scoring meaning that for the first time in 53:52 Red were leading but Blue then forced OT with 0:21 remaining. In OT (Which was 1 minute long due to an agreement) Red scored with 4.4 seconds remaining. Due to the efforts and teamwork of two players on Red both of those players were awarded 3 points towards best & fairest standings.

In the ASCDBL, The game was running quite long and several shots at the hoop were fired with none scoring. Though the game was forced to half court at 17:00 and Red knocked all 3 cones over thus they earned 3 points towards the standings.

Now for a couple of notes

• First: I apologise for the late update of the ASCBBL standings. The amount of 3-pointers scored was immense and I had to check it 3 times (NOTE: The app I use for scoring does have play-by-play but it only puts [insert team added 1 point], However I am thankful it has time stamps which indicate when I added the points as I was able to simplify about 100 plays to 49.)

• Second: I checked all standings again today. All are correct.

• Third: I will be going to Sydney as I stated in my cancellation of games post. I promise to be back the Monday after next Monday.

• Fourth: Finally the trophies and medals arrived!
